Introduction

Before you think "who's that strange guy" let me introduce myself !

• Who am I ? 

 My name is Alexandre MIRANDA and I'm 23 ! As you guess by reading this, i'm French and I live in the center of France, in Auvergne. I come from Mauriac, in Cantal. It's a nice rural city but it is a little bit far from biggest cyties like Aurillac or Clermont-Ferrand. I'm from Mauriac but I live in Clermont-Ferrand because i study there.

• What are my hobbies ?

 I love sports, but the one that i prefer is Rugby. Indeed, before I played rugby with my friends in a Rugby Club but I injured my left shoulder several times so i stopped it. Now i play tennis and i swim, but i also watch Rugby World Cup ’s games and Top 14’s on TV ! My favourite team in Top 14 is Clermont (ASM Clermont Auvergne) when I can, I go to the Marcel Michelin Stadium to see their games. Otherwise What i also like doing is watching TV Series, the last one that i watched is “Wayward Pines” it’s almost my favourite one. But i also like “Dexter” or “Breaking Bad”. Finally, i have to admit that play Fifa is something i like to do especially with my friends.

• Let’s talk about studies!

 After the “Baccalauréat” i made a “BTS” Tourism at Chamalières. After that, and after the summer during which I worked as a sports animator, I was more interested in sports so i decided to do a diploma to be a Sports Instructor (during 2 years). Then, as for me, the diploma was too based on the practice of sports and I wanted to learn more about management aspects of sports. Of course i looked for a course which added sports with tourism. And i decided to do a Professionnal Licence in Tourism and Sport Leisures which took place (the formation) in Dijon. It was the last year. And now i’m here, at the UFR STAPS of Clermont Ferrand in Master 1 SIMIP. What interested me at the begening was the fact that in Master2 we can choose a module called “Sport Tourism and recreational practices in rural environment”.

• What's my professional project ?

  After the degree i’d like to work in the territorial development by creating value based on leisure activities and tourism. I think that improving tourism and leisures activities in a region is a very good way to create value for the territory.
